Aldo Escalante Ochoa was born in Mexico City, Mexico, to Juana Ochoa, a teacher, and Dante Escalante, an illustrator. Escalante began his acting career as a teenager, working in a soap opera called Feliz navidad mamá (2002). He appeared in film school exercises and short films while studying acting in CasAzul (2012). His career moved exclusively to theatre for a while, until in 2013 made an appearance in Los Muertos (Santiago Mohar). He appeared in TV series El señor de los cielos and in Netflix's Club de Cuervos, the first Latin American Netflix production.
