Actress Alba Amira made her screen debut in director Alessio Della Valle's film "American Night". A neo-noir set in the New York City's corrupt contemporary art world where a powerful art dealer and the ruthless head of New York's mafia fight for money, art, power and love. Amira plays the role of "Olivia" opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the right hand and close confidante of Art dealer "John Kaplan". The film also stars Emile Hirsch, Paz Vega and Jeremy Piven.Saban Films has acquired North American rights to the film ahead of its premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The film is also an official selection of the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival. Saban Films will release "American Night" in theaters this Fall.Alba says of her experience on the film that "as a young actress, the opportunity to work with a highly regarded actor such as Jonathan Rhys Meyers was a wonderful experience. I was able to gain great insight into his creative process. Our director Alessio Della Valle's calm and professional personality made the process of filming extremely smooth. As an actress I felt that he was a great guide, continuously pushing me to dig deeper."Half Albanian, half German, Amira is a citizen of the world, having spent her childhood in Germany, later moving to Spain with her family, then studying in England. She is passionate not only about acting but the entire filmmaking process, and seeks to inspire others both in her film roles and philanthropy.Next up for Alba is a role in the feature film "Rido Perche Ti Amortizations" for director Paolo Ruffino in the role of assistant to the owner of a Parisian dance school.
