Since arriving in Los Angeles in 1999 Alastair Surprise has steadily built a career in the entertainment industry. He has carved quite an impressive resume as a Producer, Writer, Actor and President & CEO of the recently launched Big Surprise Productions (a full service TV, film, online production company). Making the switch from acting in front of the camera to producing behind the camera can often times be difficult but he has successfully navigated this and enjoys jumping back and forth whenever time permits.Alastair is best known for playing Joel on NBC's sitcom "3rd Rock from the Sun", which starred John Lithgow and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. This was followed up by a hilarious turn in the improvisational comedic feature "Fellowship of the Dice" along side Aimee Graham. His work was also well received in the title role for the darkly comedic and award winning short film "Bill".Traction in the producing side of things started to take hold in 2005 and have continued ever since.
