Alan Gutiérrez Frausto is a Mexican composer (b. 1990 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico). He began his composition studies in Guadalajara Jalisco, under the instruction of great teachers such as Jorge Horacio López Estévez and Angelo Prezza. He pursued his bachelor studies in Music Composition at the Fermatta Music Academy, under the instruction of distinguished teachers such as Luís Zepeda Andalzua, and Israel Nóguez. Alan has also taken orchestration and instrumentation courses with the distinguished Mexican composers Juan Pablo Contreras and Mario Lavista. He finished a master's degree in Film Composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH), under the instruction of Asbjørn Schaathun. Alan has also taken a masterclass on contemporary composition with Kaja Saariaho and Jonas Forssell. Alan has also attended master classes in Film scoring with Nicholas Sillitoe, Gaute Storaas, Ragnar Bjerkreim, and a seminar with Richard Bellis.Alan has written the music for the Norwegian feature film "Kometen", which premiered on December 8th 2017 (Directed by Bård Røssevold). Alan has also worked as an orchestrator for the Norwegian Documentary series "Frontkjempere" (Dir. by Alexander Kristiansen). Alan has also written the music for a documentary (Et Bedre Norge/Henning Askjer Lefsaker), as well as music for short films (The Last Call/ Dir. Magnus Arnesen) (The Dice/Bård Røssevold), commercials and trailers (Om at knækken koden/Dir. Torben Bech) (Kometen mood-reel/Dir Bård Røssevold), YouTube series Barakoa (Dir. MaFernanda Pabe), the premiere of a feature film (Los Extraordinarios/ Dir. José María Rodríguez), and for theater (The Complete Works of William Shakespeare "Abridged" by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, Jess Winfield/Dir.
