One of Mexico's greatest drivers, Adrian Fernandez worked hard to get to where he is. Born in Mexico City, Fernandez started racing in 1982 and has methodically worked his way up from the lesser formulas to Champ Car. He won his first championship in Mexico, while driving in the Formula Vee Series. He left Mexico for Europe in 1987, and stayed until 1990. Started racing in the United States in 1992, when he joined the Indy Lights Series. Fernandez entered CART in 1993 with Galles Racing, and toiled anonymously until he switched to the Tasman team in 1996 where he won his first major championship race in Toronto. Since then, Fernandez has won six more times and has become one of the top drivers in the Champ Car Series. Show less «
