Adrian Alejandro Cruz, born to a Puerto Rican father and Scottish mother, lived all over the world before graduating from the University of Southern California with dual degrees in Film and Theater. Cutting his teeth in the LA Theater scene as director, Adrian began working in the comic book industry first as editor (working with such authors and artists as Alan Moore, Alexandro Jodorowsky and Travis Charest) then striking out on his own with his graphic novel series Seed. Adrian went on to write and produce Splinter starring Edward James Olmos and Tom Sizemore before eventually moving to TV where he and his then writing partner sold pilots to FOX, Warner Brothers, NBC, ABC and USA networks before finally creating Ascension for Syfy Network starring Tricia Helfer. He was a semi-finalist for the Nicholl's fellowship with his script Alibi Guys and went through the WGA's acclaimed Showrunner Training Program and has recently he produced and directed the indie film Eat Me, written by and starring acclaimed playwright Jacqueline Wright.
