At the age of 16, Abdullah Ali was discovered by Oscar-winning Producer, Andrés Vicente Gómez. At the time Andrés was casting for Saudi Arabia's first-ever international commercial feature film, Born A King.Andrés Vicente Gómez and the award-winning director, Agustí Villaronga handpicked Abdulah to play the role of the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. Abdullah at the time had no prior experience in acting but tried his best to authentically represent the late King.After the release of the film, Abdullah was awarded for his performance at the Sharjah International Film Festival 2019. The award was presented by HH Shiekh Saud Al Qassimi & the festival director, HH Sheikha Jawaher Al Qassimi. Born A King went on to maintain the #1 Box Office for several weeks across the Gulf Region, nicknaming it "the most successful film ever produced in the Gulf".
