Naevia is a slave who belonged to the House of Batiatus. Both Naevia and her friend Diona remained virgins under the care of their mistress, Lucretia, the wife of Batiatus. One day, Diona was given to a cruel Roman who forced horrible sexual acts upon her, and from then on, Diona would be ordered to perform sexual favours for gladiators and guests at Batiatus' house. Naevia felt sorry for her friend, and helped her to escape from the villa, promising that they'd see each other again some day. Naevia later became Lucretia's body slave after the death of Melitta. Lucretia promised that Naevia would never meet the same horrible fate as Diona, and that her virginity would be kept intact until they found a man of worth, like Melitta with Oenomaus. When Naevia first accompanied Lucretia to the gladiatorial games, she saw that Diona had been captured and sentenced to death for trying to escape. After watching her friend be executed, Naevia came to despise the games. Some time later, Naevia began to attract the attention of Crixus, a gladiator who was being used by Lucretia to spawn an heir for Batiatus' house. Despite the risk, Naevia and Crixus gave into their passion for each toher, and would continue to have an affair behind their Domina's back. The affair was discovered by Ashur, a gladiator who had become Batiatus' trusted henchman. Ashur had long held a grudge against Crixus, and sought to humiliate him. As a reward for his services to Batiatus, Ashur requested to have Naevia as his mate. Batiatus granted his wish, much to Lucretia's distaste. Then one night, during a celebration, Ashur caressed Naevia in front of Crixus, and Crixus went berserk, attacking him. It was then that Ashur revealed their affair in front of their masters and guests. Lucretia was infuriated by Naevia's insubordination, and she beat her. Naevia defied her mistress, saying that Crixus never loved their Domina, he was only following orders. Lucretia was about to kill Naevia, but decided instead to cut off her hair and sell her on. Meanwhile, Crixus was chained and whipped in front of all the slaves and gladiators as a warning against any further disobedience. Thanks to Oenomaus, Naevia had one final moment with Crixus before she was taken away from the villa. Shortly after, Crixus joined Spartacus in his revolt against the house of Batiatus. With the death of Batiatus, Crixus was free to begin his search for Naevia. Show less «
