Miss Patty runs the dance studio in Stars Hollow. She used to have a show business career, and photos from her days in show business line the walls of the studio. She trains children to dance for various events in town, and holds regular recitals of her students, some of which include former students (like Kirk) recreating dances from their student days. She also once worked on a one-woman show with Kirk as director, but it didn't work out very well due to their complete inability to agree on much of anything in their attempted collaboration.Miss Patty had a series of husbands, enough of them that she has trouble keeping track of the order in which they were married. Miss Patty is known to hang around construction sites just to ogle the male workers there, and once she has been drinking at a function, males who are not interested in her know to keep a safe distance away.Miss Patty knows the business of everyone in town and is often seen gossiping with Babette Dell and other women who need to know what is going on at every minute. She is the go-to person if you want to know if anyone is hiring in town, because her studio is right in the center of town so she never misses any open job information. Miss Patty is also the second-in-command after Taylor at town meetings, as he has her introduce him as the speaker if he wants to take the floor with his own grievance; this could be because her dance studio is where town meetings are held. If there is a major town function or party, Miss Patty will definitely be there. She brings a lot of life to any occasion.
