Louise Grant is a high school acquaintance of Rory Gilmore's, but grows up as a friend of both Paris Geller and Madeline Lynn. Louise is very smart, perhaps nearly as intelligent as Paris, and gets A's on many of her assignments. However, Louise is extremely boy-crazy and doesn't care if she leaves a concert in a large city to go with Madeline to the apartment of people she doesn't know who are having a party. (Lorelai had to get Madeline and Louise out of that situation.) After high school, Louise and Madeline end up ignoring their college plans to travel around from college to college for homecoming, and later spend week after week having Spring Break. After Spring Break of Rory's freshman year of college, Rory never hears of Louise (or Madeline) again.
