Jack Burrel was an 18 year old counsellor at Camp Crystal Lake during the summer re-opening of 1979 under 33 year old proprietor Steve Christie. He had arrived at the camp driven by fellow counsellor and 18 year old jokester bestfriend Ned Rubinstein operating his own truck and fellow counsellor and 18 year old girlfriend Marcie Stanler. He had come to over the course of his one and only day at Camp Crystal Lake on Friday the 13th, 1979 befriend fellow, elder 19 year old counsellors Bill, Brenda and Alice Hardy before that night during the raging rainstorm of that night being murdered by Pamela Voorhees, following sexual intercourse with his girlfriend Marcie. He was killed on a bottom bunk within the bunk cabin where he had and Marcie had engaged in intercourse as the storm rolled in and forced to them to quickly find shelter to avoid being drenched. As Marcie had left to go urinate and wash up in the bathroom cabin he had bestfriend Ned's blood come down in droplets upon his face from the top bunk above him and before having the chance to exit the bottom bunk had Pamela, (who had stashed beneath the bottom bunk bed) hoist her left arm up onto his forehead holding him in place as she proceeded to force an archery range arrow through the bed, pushing from the back of his throat right to the front and twisting around causing him to have his own blood sprayed upon his chin and singlet. His body was later discovered on Saturday 14th by the Crystal Lake Police Department along with Ned's body which had been left within the bunk bed cabin. Jack served as Pamela Voorhees' fifth overall victim, third 1979 victim and second to be killed on camp grounds victim. He was portrayed by Kevin Bacon. His death would later inspire Pamela's infamous son Jason Voorhees in the 1984 Higgins Haven murder of 18 year old proprietor Chris Higgins' 18 year old bestfriend Debbie. Show less «
