Elle Wood is a naive gullible recent Harvard Law School Grad who elects to take a job on the Hill in DC, as a legislative aide to a Congresswoman played by Sally Fields, to advocate and build on the agenda of preventing animal testing for the cosmetics industry. She runs into the bureaucracy of the Washington Way evinced by Regina King's character who is her immediate supervisor in the office of Chief of Staff to the Congresswoman. Elle Woods is likeable in the spirit of Jimmy Stewart's famous character Mr. Deeds Goes to Washington. As serendipity would have it, animal lovers everywhere throw her a bone. She is befriended by those she thought were her enemies and discovers that the Washington Way can be used to her advantage summarized in two words Discharge Bill or Regina King. The pleasant surprise of Bob Newhart in the periphery of this dog eat dog world proves that resourcefulness comes in many occupations-even a lowly door man! Furthermore, Elle soon discovers that when one seeks the enlistment of powerful people, one should take note to their style, dress, and salon of choice by hair philosophy of course! The ladies of Delta Nu may seem like dumb blondes but beneath their perky flawless racks and runway gaits lurk the unbridled enthusiasm to assist a friend in need and the sorority is called to Defcon 3 and orchestrates one of the largest outpouring of human sentiment for a more humane society!Even George Clinton of the Parliament Funkadelics would have loved how this Director used the song Atomic Dog to stage a thematic comeback and upset in the halls of Congress, to garner votes for a puppy dog eyed bill called Bruiser's Bill.Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde will have you smiling and loving Woods as the name denotes because she has a concern not just for the environment but for those four legged constituents who cannot speak for themselves! Along the way, we discover that the objections to same sex relationships by interlopers are not merely asinine because they seek to keep those engaged in the productive pursuits of happiness in the dog house, now, thanks to this wonderful movie and Elle Woods the LGBT community has a 'tail' wind behind it!
