Miss Delores Pasternak is a former 5th Grade teacher to Jake Harper, and former date (one hates to say Girlfriend ) to Charlie Harper. Not surprisingly their affair didn't end well, with Charlie running out of the school after Miss Pasternak makes it clear she believes they in a long-term relationship. The character returns years later and Charlie learns the consequences of his actions were pretty devastating on Miss Pasternak. Although it was clear from her relationship with Charlie that she was a little unhinged, we find out she actually has a breakdown, loses her job and her house, and ends up dancing in a bikini bar. In that later episode Charlie tries to make good, but since he is dealing with an unhinged woman to begin with the results are rather predictable.
