Cucuy is a hired thug.He works for Agent Sands and is the one to bring El Mariachi to him.Cucuy is shady from the start, and eventually rats Sands out, and betrays El Mariachi, bringing him right to Barillo himself. However, Barillo does not want to repay Cucuy so Billy strangles Cucuy with a garrote wire.
