Chico is a large, grizzled, dirty thug who works for the Rojos in a small, violent border town. Half of the town is controlled by Chico's employers, and the other half by the Baxters. Chico enjoys drinking, gambling, and women, but most of all he enjoys brutality. He takes personal pleasure in inflicting pain, and as large a man as he is, he is safe to start a fight with almost anyone. He is also a good shot, although not as good as his boss, Ramon Rojo, who favors the Winchester rifle. Sometimes Chico is assigned to beat and torture someone the Rojos have captured, which gives Chico especial pleasure.All is going well for Chico until his boss takes a liking for Marisol, an innocent young farmer's wife who lives at the edge of town. The Rojos kick Marisol's husband and child out of the house (they stay in the manger) and turn it into a private love-nest for Ramon. This would be fine, but one day a stranger rides into town and sees Chico abusing the boy and his father. This stranger calls himself Joe, but he is really The Man With No Name. The Man With No Name forms a plan, set the two gangs against one another, and in the confusion sets Marisol and her family free. When the Rojos figure this out, they capture and torture the Man With No Name, which gives Chico a chance to really enjoy himself. But, the Man With No Name is smarter than Chico and his gang, and manages to kill Chico when he returns for a second torture session. Show less «
