Bert is a friend of Paul, Karen, Jeff, and Marcy. When the five friends first got to the cabin he went back to the woods to hunt some squirrels. But he accidently shot the Hermit instead. He saw that the Hermit was sick and didn't want him to come near him so he went back to the cabin and told no one of what he did. During an incident with the Hermit later that night, Bert shot the car and then he had to fix it. But by the time he got it fixed he had the disease because he drank the water (which also lost him his bet with Jeff). So Bert went to Old Man Cadwell's store to find directions to a hostpital. But Dennis bit him and then Dennis' father Tommy flipped out on Bert. So Bert got back in the car and sped off and three hicks follwed him. The car broke down so he got out and ran to the cabin which Paul was still at. Bert got his gun and sat in front of the door untill the hicks came but before he got to shoot one Andy (one of the hicks) shot Bert. Show less «
