Sharon is an award winning screenwriter who grew up around the Arts. Her father was a professional trumpet player and sought after bandleader in San Francisco while her mother worked in theatre doing production. Sharon was staging plays and movies from the time she could talk.A theatre major at College of Marin, she continued her studies at UCLA and immediately became absorbed into writing and performing improv around town with the famed Groundling sketch comedy players and Second City transplants.Her professional writing career started in the indie feature world as a writer for hire. CATCHING INDIA for Jennifer Siebel Newsom (2011 Sundance Official Selection "Miss Representation") sent Sharon to India to interview heads of state, later winning the Goa International Screenplay Award; THE WINE REVOLT to France to meet with world renown wine vintners; her spec OF CORSET'S MINE led her to England to study the 19th century. That script won her Edgemar Theatre's Best Original Play and Dreamago's Plume & Pellicule competition; the comedy O Soul E' Mio for director Jeff Woolnough ("Rome" "Smallville"). She has just been tapped to write the true story, BRASSIERE BRIGADE, for The Thing Is Films.In T.V., her rom com LOVE ON THE AIR, Hallmark's choice for last year's Emmy's and Leo Award Winner, aired to top cable ratings. She has written on several shows for Disney and was hired to write her ½ hour comedy pilot, HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED, for Jeff Skoll's Participant/Pivot TV. Now, she is working on setting up her drama series HOT.Her feature spec DUMB IT DOWN was picked up by 13 Films; She has reunited with her Hallmark team with her script MOMMY MANual. Her inspirational dog story, ROO!, is being optioned by Not A Number Productions with Metro International on board to EP. FOIE GRAS & GRITS is with producers Shelly Glasser and Matt Rhodes (The Voices, Accidental Love), and her period romantic comedy, OF CORSET'S MINE is with Robin Jonas (Swing Vote, Mr. Brooks).In the book realm, she co-wrote the well-received inspirational memoir GOLD STANDARD with Kym Gold, the creator of True Religion Brand Jeans, released through Skyhorse Publishing in September 2015.
