Seamus O'Brien grew up in the city of Chicago, and he began his comedy career at the age of 17. He decided to pursue a theatre degree from Prairie State College. During his career thus far, he has performed at over 1,000 colleges and universities. A list of these schools is available upon request. Seamus is a mid-western guy at heart, and the Marian Catholic High School Graduate states, "I am an Illinois boy who lives in California." In February 2003, O'Brien was inducted into Marian High School's "Hall of Fame" as he received their Fine Arts Distinguished Achievement Award. Seamus O'Brien's name has appeared in various hotel & casino marquees, including Caesar's Palace, Tropicana-Atlantic City, Harrah's- Lake Tahoe, Bally's, Excalibur, MGM, Rivera, Tropicana-Las Vegas, Hilton and Silver Legacy- Reno. O'Brien has also graced the marquees of several comedy clubs and Indian casinos throughout the United States and Canada. For the last 5 years, O'Brien has held a recurring role on NBC's Days of Our Lives. In addition to Days, O'Brien has appeared on over 100 television shows including: Everybody Loves Raymond, the Bernie Mac Show, and a five-year recurring role on The George Lopez Show. Additionally, O'Brien has performed with his comedy pals, Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White, George Lopez, Jay Leno, and the late Bernie Mac. Seamus also has a passion for golf, and he presently holds a 10 handicap. He plays in and also serves as a Master of Ceremonies for many charitable golfing events. Some of these events include: Children's Charity Classic (where they made him a Kentucky Colonel), Dry Heat Golf Classic, The Duke's Children's Classic, Excalibur Classic, and Ronald McDonald House.
