Saúl Ñíguez (Elche, Sapin, 1994) is a midfielder who plays for Atlético de Madrid and the Spanish National team. He is already one of the most important players at Los Rojiblancos and one of the most promising footballers in the world. Born into a family of footballers - his two brothers as well as his father played football professionally - Saúl arrived to the Atlético de Madrid youth ranks when he was 13. He made his debut with the first team in the 2011/2012 season in a Europa League fixture only four years later. In the 2013/2014 campaign he played on loan at Rayo Vallecano. The following year Atlético de Madrid recalled him, and he has grown to be one of the key players in Simeone's Atlético de Madrid. Saúl also progressed through the youth ranks of the Spanish national team - he was European champion in the U19 tournament. His great performances at Atlético in the last few years have seen him called up for Spain for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Show less «
