Sarah Scott is an American actress and former dancer born in Nebraska and raised outside Dallas, Texas. She trained early on in dance and theatre and began working with a professional performing arts company at the age of thirteen. While studying at New York University in the Steinhardt School of Media, Culture, and Communication, she started acting in small theatres and comedy clubs around New York City. Scott completed the Shakespearean program at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London before graduating from NYU.Scott's first television appearance was a featured part on Fox's Arrested Development (2003) as the doppelgänger to the character "Kitty" played by Judy Greer. The producers thought she looked enough like Greer to bring her back for a second episode in the third season.Scott has since appeared on numerous television shows and starred in independent features that cross genres including the lead role alongside C. Thomas Howell in the thriller, The Grind (2009) and in the romantic comedy, Sam (2015), executive produced by Mel Brooks. Scott portrays Courtney Love in Soaked in Bleach (2015), an explosive docu/drama that examines the death of Kurt Cobain that was ruled a suicide in 1994. Soaked in Bleach, which was the #3 most popular documentary on IMDB in 2015, was produced by Richard Middleton who also produced the black-and-white silent film, The Artist (2011), in which Scott plays a "Laughing Dancer", and which won the Oscar for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 2012.
