Samuel Scott Osborne was raised in southwest rural Virginia. He was cast in the movie "The River" (1984) at the age of 11. Much of the movie was filmed in northeast Tennessee not far from his grandparents' farm in Virginia.Scott decided to make a career in information technology rather than "risk it" with the film industry. He worked in I.T. for various corporations until his interest in film making was rekindled when he learned that part of the movie "Secretariat" (2010) would be filmed in Louisville, Kentucky where he was living at the time. He was offered and accepted a part in the movie as an extra for the Kentucky Derby race scene.After that, Scott appeared as an extra in the church series "Not a Fan" (2010) filmed by City on a Hill Productions locally in Louisville.Scott's son, Justin Osborne, appeared as an extra in the movie "Blue Like Jazz" (2012).Scott was an associate producer for the movie "95ers: Time Runners" (2013) He represented the film at a local indie film festival in Louisville where it won 2 awards.Scott has a keen interest in the phenomenon of Star Trek fandom. Scott has received special thanks for Star Trek indie film projects that he supported.Scott lives with his wife, Rachel, in Louisville, Kentucky and attends Sci-Fi/Fantasy conventions at every opportunity.
