"HillJack Russell", born in Lexington KY, as Russell Parks, on May 30, 1969. He's the author of Western Lore, a popular online novel of a drifting cowboy, first written under the pen name "Ghost of the Gulch". He's the writer, director, editor & producer of his first feature length movie, Nightmare Fuel, a hard rock infused, Halloween induced, haunted house film.As an actor, he's been featured in indie film hits such as the award-winning The Wicked One and Loss Prevention, starred in music videos, and also appeared in the Hallmark Channel movie feature, JL Ranch.A rock star caliber expansion to entertainment personality, Russell is also known as The Heavy Metal Conductor, a hard rock'n roller host & DJ. His appearances on the original Boneyard of XM Satellite Radio, host of Horse Aid Live rock concert (Red Mile, Lexington), and hosting his own online show on Bounce Radio dubbed HillJack's Hostile Takeover, were natural progressions of an iconic musical background. After his breakout performance in the role of TV show host "Dr. Dementia" in The Wicked One, HillJack has teamed with writer/director Tory Jones (The Wicked One) as a core actor of Jonestown Films. Future roles include a supporting role (Scream For Summer) and a leading role in an unnamed, early production psychological chiller. With the sweeping success of The Wicked One, Russell is also set to reprise his role as Dr. Dementia for an upcoming video game production of the movie, as well for the sequel.A long time Wild West aficionado, HillJack continues to write for his WesternLore.net website, and is adapting the story of his drifting cowboy gunslinger for publication and screenplay. The original, titled "Enter The Gulch" has drawn rave reviews and impressive writing comparisons worldwide. Show less «
