Robert Thomason is a working actor born and raised in Atlanta, GA whose artistic journey has been full of unexpected turns. His introduction to acting came when his college roommate invited him to simply attend as a scene partner in an audition for the musical Pippin. Robert left that audition stunned with the lead role - and his roommate still as good friends. He loved the experience and went on to earn a BA in Speech and Theater from the University of West Georgia. After college, he acted, directed, and did freelance work in stage and lighting design primarily for various churches. His drive to tell stories of faith with excellence lead him to continue professional acting training by developing his technical and artistic skills with industry leaders. During this time, a filmmaker saw Robert audition and soon after offered him his first principal film role as Ellis Burdette in the award winning drama, Stand Your Ground, a faith-based film based on a true story. That sudden turn sealed his new direction to pursue screen acting and began a series of moral, noble, and faith-affirming roles in film, commercial, and industrial work. In addition, he has also developed voice over management training material with the Chick-fil-A Corporation.Robert is known for his gentle demeanor and natural portrayal of approachable, understanding, and trustworthy characters in redemptive films. Recent projects include Like Arrows, Bump, Summer of '67, and a new untitled project due for release in 2019 by the writers and producers of God's Not Dead and Do You Believe? He is represented by Houghton Talent Agency.
