Mindy grew up in a small town south of Dallas, Texas. Mindy graduated Pepperdine University, magna cum laude (1999). She focused on Broadcast Journalism and Theater during her studies. Mindy attended there on an academic scholarship, as well as awarded Faculty and Staff and Broadcasting Scholarships. She just recently had her film debut in One More Round (2014), also starring Kevin Sorbo (God's Not Dead), Jeremy London (7th Heaven) and her husband actor Tommy Lee Thomas. Mindy is most known for her first on-camera interview with O.J. Simpson at Rockingham, an exclusive half hour talk show, The Mindy Thomas Special (1997). She went on to interview various celebrities such as Academy Award Nominee, Eric Roberts, (Batman), William Devane, (Knots Landing) and the legendary actor and singer, Pat Boone. Her first professional debut came as a radio talk show host, in which she landed an exclusive half hour interview with Monica Lewinsky's father, Bernard, regarding her relations with President Bill Clinton (1998). She booked her first TV audition for The West Wing (2002), Warner Brothers, in which she credits Jerry Pennecoli (Extra) for encouraging her.
