Mark-Brian is known primarily as a stage actor and playwright. He was born in the Chicago area in 1965. At the age of 2 his mother moved to Mexico where he grew up in the rural central town of Irapuato, Guanajuato. Because of this he is completely fluent and bilingual in Spanish. He moved to Dallas, Texas in December of 1979. He began studying acting at the Arts Magnet School in Dallas, Texas. He also studied Ballet and became a professional Ballet Dancer while attending college at Southern Methodist University in which he earned his B.A. in Antrhopology, graduating at the age of 19. Besides Ballet, he also began performing in Theatre. He wrote his first theatrical script, "Persistence in Memory," in 1987 which was performed with much success. He lived in the Los Angeles area for a 3 year period in which he completed a second degree in Spanish Literature at California State University Fullerton. He moved back to Dallas in 1992. By 2005 he had performed in well over 50 theatrical productions and had formed his own Theatre production company Mark-Brian Sonna Productions (aka MBS Productions). He continues acting and authoring plays, such as the recent "Killing Thomas," the highly acclaimed comedy "Kiss the Boys," and "...a moment in the life of Willa Dee Arvis" as well as directing, and producing the very popular "Theatre of Death" plays for the Halloween season, and "Theatre of Love" for the Valentine season.
