A masterful improviser, Marc Isaacs developed his ad-libbing skills while working in radio and as a TV weathercaster before moving into acting in 2005. He's a member of SAG-AFTRA, and his recent film roles include a bank security guard who's quick on the draw in CARTER & JUNE, a time-traveling detective in TURNING THE HANDS OF TIME, and a racist Texas cop in the 1940's historical fiction drama THE EXAMPLE. Marc first studied acting at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY as part of a Speech & Theatre major. Stints in commercial radio led to copywriting and voiceover opportunities and opened the door to a move to television where he served as a fill-in weathercaster at a top-rated CBS affiliate, despite no prior training in meteorology. It marked the beginning of a period of working in TV news and programming, both on camera and as a producer. After working as a weathercaster at his 5th TV station, Marc transitioned into acting and quickly found representation in the Houston market. He soon added agents in other markets in Texas, and eventually expanded his credits from commercials to films, including 2013 drama The Preacher's Daughter. Comedic roles have been more common, including an ambitious con artist in WESTISH, a luckless dater who gets a big break in GUYCO, and a self-loathing soap opera director in WE ARE FAMILY. His comedy work extends into live performances, too, including his roles of Sherlock Holmes and Captain Kirk as part of shows with a touring murder mystery troupe as well as gigs as an emcee. In 2016, Marc relocated to Milwaukee where he teaches acting and filmmaking workshops and continues to run a blog site called ACTING MADE STUPID SIMPLE for teens and adults looking to launch acting careers. He also serves in the Special Education department of a school district in the Milwaukee area, a position preceded by stints during college at summer camps for kids and adults with developmental disabilities. He's a past board member of Women in Film & Television Houston where he served as Vice President, and a children's educational TV series he co-created called HOUSTON ZOOPERSTARS CHALLENGE ran for three seasons and earned two Lone Star Emmy nominations.
