Lisa is British and trained as an actress at Drama Centre London (1987-1990).She moved to Paris, France in 1992 and since 2016 lives between her adopted city and London.Her first job out of drama school was with Pocket Theatre Cumbria playing Catherine Morland in a production of 'Northanger Abbey'. In Paris she became a successful voiceover artist (voicing the English versions of French productions for the international market).In 2014, her first short as writer/producer - 'Prick Thy Neighbour' - was selected for Film London's 'London Calling' scheme. It was directed by actress 'Tara FitzGerald (I)' ('Game of Thrones', 'Legend', 'Exodus', 'Brassed Off') and also produced by Georgina French of French Fancy Productions. Screened at 8 international film festivals, including BAFTA/Oscar qualifying Palm Springs, it was picked up by French distribution company, Origine Films. It has since been broadcast in Japan, France, Italy and the USA.Lisa's first feature as writer - 'Amsterdam' - was shortlisted for Microwave 2015/16 (Film London), received script development from Alumni 2016 (Film London/Creative England*), and was selected for the Micro Market strand of Film London's Production Finance Market 2016.Since 2016, she is credited as Lisa Ray-Jacobs for her work as an actress and VO artist and Lisa Jacobs for writing and producing.* Film London & Creative England are part of the BFI Network.
