Lin Gothoni (born September 07, 1991) is a Finnish Actress. Born into a family of classical musicians Gothoni exhibited her fascination for the arts from a very early age on. Ever aspiring to be a performing artist, Lin has studied various musical instruments starting with piano at age 3, followed by the violin, flute and vocals. After graduating with the I.B. diploma from the Bavarian International School in Munich, Germany, where she focused her studies on languages and arts, she enrolled for the BFA in acting at the Film Acting School in Berlin. In 2014, shortly after graduating the Film school, she landed her first lead role in short movie "Jagon" which screened at Filmfestivals worldwide, including the Camerimage Filmfestival in Poland, the Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival) and on the German TV Channel SWR in Fall 2015.Gothoni then landed a contract with SDI Media Germany, and has since been working as a voice actress for German Television. Projects include Barbie Rock 'n Royals, where she lent her voice to the lead role Erica, Sofia the First, Kate and Mim-Mim, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, The Magic School Bus, Peter Rabbit, Alvin and the Chipmunks to name a few.Lin has also starred in music videos "Magic" by Qodo, which has won the prize for Best Music Video 2015 at the 5th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival in New Dehli, "Candlelight Döner" by SDP, a German pop/hip-hop band, and "World On Drugs" by American rapper Future ft. Juice World.She is also known for her participation on Television show "The Voice of Germany" season 6 (2016).After relocating to Los Angeles, Gothoni has starred in numerous short films and in 2018 she won 'Best Actress' award for "The Shadow of Things", and another short she starred in, namely "Substance Abuse", was selected 'semi-finalist' at Near Nazareth Festival in Israel.Raised bilingually by her Finnish father and Chinese mother, Lin speaks fluent Finnish, English and German and Chinese.
