Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, actor Ky Mahone had moved around with parents Barbara and Kevin Mahone several times growing up. Sports including football, basketball, boxing, skateboarding, and snowboarding took over his childhood onto adolescence. After completing high school in Mammoth Lakes, CA, he moved to Los Angeles at the age of eighteen. While supporting himself waiting tables he got his certification as a medical assistant where he would draw blood and give shots to patients. He then took an EMT course at UCLA in hopes of pursuing a career as a firefighter, but after the course, had a change of heart and began to search for a career that felt more right for him. He took an interest into acting because of a nostalgia from an earlier school play, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, that he had been in and an acting class he took during high school. Quickly following a few major inspirations, an opportunity for his first audition arose, which earned him a small role on his first television movie, Soap in the City. Excited on a new endeavor he plunged into the craft. The more and more he learned; the more and more he fell in love with the idea of doing it for the rest of his life. He has began producing, writing, and directing some of his own films and content to express his artistic dedication in addition to several classes, workshops, and other projects. Nowadays aside from honing his craft, he focuses on furthering his education at Santa Monica College, surfing, and outdoors adventures. Show less «
