Award winning Actor, and French national Kriz H. Harriz was born in Germany into a multi-lingual academic family which loved the fine arts such as music,drama and paining. This molded Kriz with a deep and fond love as well as understanding of the arts.His father being Dr. Gerard Henri a reputed lecturer for Philosophy and Information Technology, Kriz's childhood was also filled with an broad exposure to languages , literature and culture.From small age Kriz found a home in the magic world of cinema, and he knew that some day he too would stand in front of the camera, which happened for the 1st time at the age of 14 before he took up a serious career and the artist alias "Kriz H Harriz".After studies, and working outside of the industry as a Consultant and Creative Director, Kriz found himself in South Asia, where he discovered a niche market for himself, notably in Sri Lanka & India, when he realized the need for local language speaking foreign actors.Soon Kriz became fluent enough in the local languages, and combined with his acting skills and his knowledge of many European languages such as English, French, German, Dutch he landed casts in many TV and feature film productions, and has since firmly established himself in the industries of Bollywood, Kollywood and Sri Lanka, but also acted in reputed US and EU produced TV series and filmsMostly know from his award winning performances for his lead roles in television productions such as Dhawala Kadulla, Amarapuraya and others, Kriz has also acted in major Indian films such as Deepa Metha's acclaimed and Oscar nominated film "Midnight's Children" , or Visionary Tamil director Shankar's "Robo" (Endhiran) and Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet" to mention just a few.Whilst still pursuing his acting career in Asia, Kriz is living a jet set life, being based between Colombo , Los Angeles and Paris, and has recently also directed a few documentaries and TV mini series.
