John moved to Los Angeles in 1995 and since, John has worked in just about every facet of the entertainment business, ranging from Media and Entertainment at IndyCar, to Publicity at Disney Theatrical Publicity and Universal Studios Home Entertainment.In 1999 John entered the talent agency business and soon found a home at ACME Talent and Literary. As a literary agent, John aided the careers of writers such as Catherine Coulter, Sandra Brown, Robert Ellis and Homer Hickam. He assisted many writers in the sale of their work by helping develop their screenplays into an easier product to sell. John also represented ACME sitting as a judge for the Hollywood Film Festival, evaluating screenplay entries and hosting pitch sessions.Shortly after ACME, John came together with other 2 producers and they created Fortress Features. At Fortress, John assisted in the raise of Fortress' development fund. Acting as the Director of Development, he sought out property for Fortress to acquire and develop into rich film/television projects. He brought in such talents as Stan Lee, Dan Silva and Joni Sighvatsson (Producer).In 2011, John opened the Santa Monica, CA based office of INDYCAR where he invited and managed various celebrities (Dan Aykroyd & Howie Mandel to name a few) to INDYCAR events and races. John also developed Branded Integrations for TV shows like "Mythbusters", "Let's Make a Deal", "How it's Made", "Betty White's Off Their Rockers", "Storage Wars" and other various shows and managed INDYCAR's social media campaign for DreamWorks Animations "Turbo", which released July 19, 2013.Finally, in Jan. 2015 John formed Gravity Squared Entertainment, a Los Angeles based management and production company, representing writers, producer and directors for film & television.John prides his southern roots and ensures that his values will translate in his choices and endeavors in the film industry.
