A lifelong New Yorker, John was born in Brooklyn and has resided in Gramercy Park, NY for over twenty years. He is a graduate of St. John's University. A lifelong New Yorker, John was born in Brooklyn and has resided in Gramercy Park, NY for over twenty years. He is a graduate of St. John's University. John wrote his first one act play, "A Wild Card Like Deuces" which premiered at the Linhart Theater, NYC in the summer of 1995. Soon after he wrote and directed the feature film "Fenced In." Which told a fictional story of criminal life around Little Italy, NY and the LES in the 1980's. John also acted in the film. From 2002 to 2005 John was a partner at Moxie Films. Moxie produced and nurtured socially relevant Documentary film projects. John had the pleasure of mentoring several project and in 2004 Moxie assisted a documentary that won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. John was also a member of the Stupida Boyz Improv Group whose shows ran in NYC and for fourteen weeks at the Clemente Theater in the LES, NY. He has written and performed stand-up comedy at the Gotham Comedy Club, Caroline's and the Comic Strip and other comedy clubs and is grateful to have acted in several feature and short films. John last wrote and directed the short film "Greenwich and 11th" that premiered at the Albuquerque Film Festival and the 25th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. John is a successful entrepreneur and has founded and nurtured several businesses. In 2005 John received the nominations of the Independent and Republican parties of New York City and ran for the New York City Council in the 2nd District. He came in second with over twenty percent of the vote. This was John's first foray into politics. John is a member of The Players Club, NY and the National Arts Club, NY.
