Primary songwriter and founding member of internationally touring hard-rock band, Fireball Ministry, James Rota has four full-length albums under his belt, 13 years of international tours with acts like Blue Oyster Cult, Dio, Motorhead, Danzig, Anthrax and Rob Zombie, Rota and has accumulated a body of musical work that extends to numerous other bands and video game titles including, The Company Band featuring Clutch's Neil Fallon and CKY's Jess Margera and the Forza Motorsport series from Microsoft Xbox.As the sole publishing administrator for both the Fireball Ministry and The Company Band catalogs, Rota's understanding and ability to navigate the nuances of both negotiating licenses and rights for music have resulted in placements on major network programming including, The Sopranos, Sons of Anarchy, Breakout Kings, Viva La Bam, MTV Cribs, commercials for the U.S. Army, promotions on FOX Sports Net and movies such as, Billabong Odyssey and Alone in the Dark with Tara Reid and THQ's game WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2006.Naturally evolving from his musical background and music business experience, Rota, CTO for Walden Media (The Chronicles of Narnia) for eight years, was internally recruited as a music consultant on major films such as, Faster with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Our Family Wedding with Forest Whitaker where he leveraged his knowledge and industry connections from the artist-side to garner optimal placement deals for the studio.A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in Electronic Media (1995), Rota has applied his training to key positions held at both VH1 as part of the inaugural team behind "Pop Up Video" and in his current role at Walden Media Studios. Rota has the knowledge and skills to understand the production and post-production environment on a highly technical level. With an ability to understand the needs of executives, creative types and the highly technical members of production in both situations, Rota presents an ideal combination of solid musical background compounded with accessible industry contacts and a proven track record of success.Rota lives in Burbank, CA with his wife, daughter and two embarrassingly small dogs. When taking a break from work, you can find him scouring the internet for treasures like old rock documentaries, re-mastered vinyl and rare mono and quadraphonic finds. Presently, Rota has a reoccurring role as on-air talent "Fireball Jim" on Nikki Sixx's Nationally Syndicated Radio show, "Sixx Sense", recently produced Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters' documentary, "Sound City" and is currently producing the Foo Fighters' HBO series, "Sonic Highways."
