Islah Abdur-Rahman is a British-Bangladeshi Actor & Filmmaker from South-East LondonIn 2012 his biggest success was being the brains and direction behind the viral comedy series "Mandem On The Wall" (now known as "The Wall of Comedy") which elevated on to E4 on "Youngers", Islah also made a special cameo appearance in Episode 4.In 2013 Islah conceptualized his brand new comedy web series the "Corner Shop Show". With no budget whatsoever, Islah took on all the heavy roles as Producer, Director, Actor, Writer and Editor and even the soundtracks, putting his singing talents to good use by being the vocalist on the show to produce quality Acapella songs in the show with the UK beat box champion MC Zani. As the views hit a higher number and the online demand for the show to elevate on to prime time TV on Xmas Eve 2014, Islah and Corner Shop Show had their television debut with an amazing audience reaction. The series is set to continue until early 2019.In 2015 Islah organized a Corner Shop Tour around the UK to fund raise for a charity called "Al-Ansari Foundation" helping orphans in Zanzibar in East Africa. By 2016 he released a documentary series following his inspiring journey out there.Islah also made an appearance in the "The T-Boy Show - Season 2" which aired on Lebara Play and performed the Young Muslim Writers Awards first ever live theatre production.By 2017 Islah had self-produced and starred in 2 Mental Health awareness films - "Restraint" and "Sashi" produced by the NHS, and starred in UK's first ever "Great Muslim Pantomime Tour: If The Shoe Fits"In 2018 Islah performed at the Hackney Empire for the biggest Mental Health Awareness Festival in UK, shortly after he released and starred in his own Feature Film - "Corner Shop: Zombies On The High Street".He reprises his role in the "Great Muslim Pantomime Tour: If The Shoe Fits" in December 2018 for an even bigger UK tour, accompanied by featuring in the soundtrack album.In April 2019 Islah won Best YouTuber award at the British Bangladeshi Fashion & Lifestyle Awards for his efforts over the yearsIn May 2019 Islah joined the UK press tour of Disney's Aladdin, and interviewed Mena Massoud as well as meeting with Will SmithIn June 2019 Islah worked with director Daniel Kleinman (007 movies) and starred in 2 commercials for Lexus and Men In Black: International, donning the iconic black suit worn by Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Liam Neeson.On October 20th Islah had released the last and final installment of the Corner Shop Show series in the format of a feature length film: "Corner Shop - Thank You, Come Again" which released in Cineworld & selected cinemas, and then followed by a huge release on YouTube.In October Islah was awarded with Best Online Channel at the Asian Media Awards, taking home his 2nd award in the same year!Islah is set to appear in BBC Three & Netflix's 'Man Like Mobeen' in Season 3, and produce new film content with his production company: The CS Network Show less «
