Férid Boughedir was born in 1944 in Tunis, French Protectorate of Tunisia [now Tunisia]. He is a director and writer, known for Halfaouine, l'enfant des terrasses (1990), Parfum de printemps (2016) and Un été à La Goulette (1996).
