Erik Bolin is a classically trained actor from the prestigious and internationally recognized Malmo Theatre Academy in southern Sweden. He performs on stage and for the camera through TV and film. He also works in Radio Theatre as well as script writing and production.Erik's interest for theater started in high school where he found the world of expression and imagination to be a refuge from his tumultuous every day environment and a way to make sense of and work through traumatic experiences.A lot of his early work was inspired by the Grotowski tradition with a focus on experimental and avant garde theatre. He spent a few years after college working at Strindbergs Intima Teater (August Strindberg's Intimate Theatre) and Riksteatern among other. In 2006 Erik started collaborating with Swedish National Radio Theatre and has to this day finished close to 20 productions. In 2010 Erik initiated an anti violence project. He wrote and performed in a movie that was used as a way to reach out to young students to create a discussion about the impact of youth violence. The idea as well as the movie was partly based on his own experiences of violence and feeling of helplessness growing up in a high crime suburb to Stockholm. The Movie "Res Dig Inte!" (Stay down!) was later purchased by the Swedish National Broadcasting Company, Sveriges Televsion. He also voiced characters in the animated trilogy "Djurvännerna" (The Animal Friends), by Eva Lindstrom, which was nominated for the distinguished Guldbagge award. In the fall of 2015 Erik was casted as Oliver Craig in the Russian Comedy "Eternal Summer" . This roll was his first international project and his character has become a popular figure in Russia. Show less «
