John Strasberg's disciple since 2012, Elena Saenz works with actors such as Alex Angulo ('The Pan's Labyrinth', 'El día de la bestia'), James D'Arcy ('Gernika', 'Master and Commander', 'Cloud Atlas'), and with directors such as Koldo Serra ('Gernika', 'Bosque de Sombras') and Nakhyun Kang. She also collaborates internationally in different cinema and theatre projects.Theatre and film awards received include Santurzine 2016: 'Dam to Dam', a short written, directed and starring Elena Sáenz, was awarded as the Best 'Santurtzi' short film and Best 'Santurtzi' script. The International ACT Festival in 2009 for her work as actress and director with the show 'Los jóvenes no saben lo que es llorar ni pasarse la vida corriendo'. In 2006 she was a member and one of the main performers of the winner company at the International Street Art Festival Umore Azoka.In addition, she writes poetry, is an amateur photographer, enjoys doing arts&crafts, holds a Law Degree at Deusto University, practices yoga, surfing, biking and she sings and dances as well.
