David Light was born in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated Cheltenham High School and Columbia University. After college, he animated on the feature film Cats Don't Dance, before working at Nickelodeon & MTV Animation as a Development Exec.Light first teamed up with his writing partner, Joseph Raso, in the MFA program at Columbia University's Graduate Film Division. Light & Raso created, wrote and sold comedy pilots to NBC, SONY, ABC Family, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and CBC. Light also sold a story idea to Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," The Bow Tie episode: about the etiquette of the handicapped stall in public bathrooms. Their music driven comedy pilot Zombies & Cheerleaders, which they co-executive produced and wrote, became the springboard for Disney Channel's original movie Zombies.Light is married to a Rabbi.He is represented by William Morris Endeavor.
