Darrell O. Cook was born in Beaufort, SC on October 30, 1973 to Teresa Cook. During his Junior High School and High school years, Darrell enjoyed being apart of the band where he learned to play all brass instruments and sat 1st chair in the Mellophone section of his high school marching band. In 1990 he became apart of a group called The Hallelujah Singers where he was not only a singer but portrayed a pastor as well. In 1991, Darrell appeared as a moss gatherer in the movie Daughter's of the Dust and then in 1994 he appeared as a choir member in the movie Forrest Gump. Then in 2013 he appeared as an extra in the TV series Banshee. He has had the opportunity to be apart of different Black History Programs where he has shared different writings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and he is the videographer for various churches in his community.
