Born in California and raised in Georgia, Brett has been acting since he was seven years old. Upon studying abroad in Israel at age twenty and learning about Israeli theatre, Brett decided to pursue acting as a career. Soon after returning to the US, he booked his first professional work doing outdoor theatre at Theatre West Virginia doing 5 plays in rep over 4 months. There he played "Jim Hickam" in the world premiere of "Rocket Boys The Musical" written by acclaimed author and NASA Engineer, Homer Hickam. After graduating from The University of Georgia in 2011 with a BA in Theatre and Film studies, he moved to New York City to take his career to the next level.After a few months of auditioning in NY, Brett booked his first role as "Master Jefferson" in "Born Blue" directed by Anthony Rapp (Rent, Star Trek Discovery). He then went on to book numerous off broadway shows, regional shows, and was eventually cast as the Lead Vocalist in the first national tour of "Rockin Road to Dublin" where he recorded on the original cast album. In 2018 Brett shifted gears to focus more on TV and Film and in the same year booked the lead role of "Boris" in "Boris and Johan" (Indie Feature), "Dylan" in "Lower East Asides" (T.V. Pilot), and "The Night King" in a "A Good Crisis" by DIS (Short Film).After 7 years of steady work in New York City, Brett booked the role of Carl Perkins in Million Dollar Quartet with the Lambs' Player's Theatre in San Diego and quickly fell in love with California where he was born. Now Brett has moved full time to Los Angeles to take on the television and film world. Most recently, Brett appeared in three holiday commercial shorts by Anthropologie and will be reprising his roll as Carl Perkins this summer for a second production of Million Dollar Quartet with The Lambs' Player's Theatre.Versatile, hard working, passionate, and with decades of experience, Brett is empowered by the fact that doing what he loves has brought him full circle to his home state. Brett is ready for any challenge and excited for what LA has in store for him.In addition to acting, Brett is also a professional musician and songwriter. He's released 5 albums, numerous singles, toured the country, and his song "Make it Right" was the number one Indie track on New Music Weekly (national radio chart) for 7 weeks.
