Anthony Orkin is a Portland, Oregon based editor and film maker. He made his first splice in 1972, from the trims in the garbage can of the editor next to his father's office. For eighteen years, he was a staff editor at Broadcast Arts and then Curious Pictures, which were animation and special effects companies in New York City. During that time, he wrote and directed 'Personal Sergeant', a live action independent feature starring Victor Argo. He then worked at other production companies in New York, cutting shows, commercials, and features. Simultaneously, he was making his own short films. A college career in Portland had given him a love for the Northwest, so when his family needed more space, they miraculously agreed to move across the country. In Portland, Anthony made 'Sammy's Measle', a short film about a girl dealing with loss. He then worked at Shadowmachine, a local animation company. Anthony's second feature, "Hello from Nowhere" will be released on digital platforms on November 8, 2022.
