Aman Ashraff trained at the ARTTS International Theatre (UK) under acclaimed Director of Stage and Television, John Sichel. Although he specialized in Production Operations, he was noted for his exemplary performances on stage as an actor of great versatility.He made his professional debut on stage in a double bill directed by Leigh Hancox featuring 'Make Believe' by A.A. Milne and 'Lilttle Bro Morning Big Sis Afternoon' by Mike Tibbetts in 2001, playing supporting roles. He won his first role as a primary cast member, namely 'Dr. Micheal Emerson' in the stage production of Brian Clark's 'Whose Life Is It Anyway?' directed by Derek Donohue in 2001. His powerful performance in the play led to him being cast as the primary antagonist in the Christmas Pantomime version of 'Ali Baba & The Forty Thieves' directed by John Sichel.In 2002, Aman delivered two leading performances back to back in productions which were both directed by Sichel. He was first cast in the Machiavellian role of 'Malvolio' in a production of William Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' and soon followed it up with a hilarious turn as 'General Irrigua' in Georges Feydeau's farcical comedy, 'Cat Amongst The Pigeons'.Returning to Sri Lanka in 2002, he entered the advertising industry as a Copywriter and has since won numerous international and domestic accolades for his talents as a Writer and Creative Director. His love for the performing arts never diminishing, he has built a reputation for himself as a leading Voice Actor, being cast in numerous commercial productions for global brands such as IBM, KFC, Marmite, Nestle and Sri Lankan Airlines.Aman made his professional debut in television on ITV's The Good Karma Hospital in 2017.
