Alyssa Reeves was born in Hawaii and raised in California until age 10 when she moved to Oklahoma City. A creative child, she took ballet for 12 years and became a talented dancer as well as a member of the track and cross country team at her school. She attended the University of Oklahoma and majored in communication while also modeling.But even as she modeled, she felt the pull of the corporate world and became a successful corporate recruiter thanks to her outgoing personality and strong people skills. Even as she moved up the corporate ladder, she realized that she was making other people's dreams come true, but not her own so she decided to move to California in 2014 and turn her attention to modeling and acting.With her striking looks and 5-foot-8-inch frame, Alyssa appeared in a number of fashion magazines and ad campaigns for a number of designers while traveling the world. With an adventurous streak, Alyssa has traveled to Europe and Africa, where she has gone on safari a few times. She loves to travel, despite the fact she was in the London underground in July 2005 when she and many others were evacuated from a subway station just after terrorists detonated bombs at another station.Producers chose Alyssa in the beginning of 2016 for their new reality show "Coupled," which began airing in May 2016 on Fox. The show follows the efforts of young women seeking to find Mr. Right while in the Caribbean. The show proved a great experience for Alyssa who was right at home in the exotic tropical island which served as the show's setting.As a student, Alyssa traveled to Africa several times doing humanitarian work for a non-profit agency, providing food and clean water to remote villages and orphanages in Kenya and South Sudan.Today, Alyssa continues to model and act while also working out, dancing and scuba diving in her spare time.
