A native of North Dakota, Alex Bannerman resided in Washington, DC for 26 years before removing to West Virginia, where he resides. He has been involved in acting since his first stage role at the age of 6. Most of his work has been on the stage, in training programs, or commercial work for local media. He is also a professional dance instructor and sings semi-professionally, having recorded and produced two albums of cover music (one country/western and one standards) for the benefit of children with AIDS.
